Peter Williams

Peter has worked in and on the UK housing and mortgage market for over forty years. He is attached to the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge recently undertaking a MHCLG sponsored review of the Help to Buy scheme and a Welsh Government review of affordable housing supply. He also contributes to a monthly England and Wales house price report for Acadata. He is Chair of First Affordable, a ‘for profit’ housing association and a Trustee of the Housing Studies Charitable Trust. He was previously Executive Director of the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association, Director of the Cambridge Centre for Housing and Planning Research, Deputy Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders and Professor of Housing at Cardiff University.
