FP&A Managers have a key role to play in the delivery of financial forecasts, strategic financial plans and financial analysis that enhance management’s understanding of the key financial business drivers that support the growth and future sale of the business. Working closely with Treasury, Financial Control and the wider business is an important part of the role.

• Lead individual areas of modelling of the financial plans for the business and undertake analysis that provides financial insight to senior management to guide business decisions.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the key financial drivers of the business specific to the role – spreads, funding, margins and costs.
• Act as a business partner to the relevant areas of the business, in particular Commercial, Savings and Treasury, providing an effective challenge to financial decision making.
• Work with the Financial Control team to ensure reporting of actuals and forecasts are aligned, consistent messages are delivered to business management and process improvements are made on dataflows.
• Prepare materials for presenting financial forecasts and analysis to management and the Board.

• Experience of financial modelling in a financial services environment is preferable but not essential.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified, with a strong academic background.
• A high level of determination, willingness and flexibility to deliver to a high standard against tight deadlines.
• Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Be able to present financial data to a high standard in a clear and concise format.
• Communicates in a constructive, positive and respectful manner.
